About the Album:

This album was pulled together
1. as a musical record of the genocide, atrocities and hideous human rights violations being carried out in Gaza by Israel since 7th October 2023 (and as a continuation of their assault on the indigenous people of Palestine since 1948) and Western complicity with that
2. to educate people about what Israel an Western governments are doing and have done
3. to raise support for Palestine
4. to raise money for ‘Medical Aid for Palestinians’ (MAP) – a registered charity working on the ground in Gaza

All monies paid for this album are going to ‘Medical Aid for Palestinians’ (MAP).
All the songs are about the atrocities in Gaza or the complicity of the West in that genocide.
All of the songs and artwork on this album have been donated without charge and with full support for the albums message and charitable intent
Production costs were paid for mainly through donations but in part through pre-sales too

Israel have literally been carrying out their publicly stated intention to completely exterminate all 2.2 million indigenous semitic people in Gaza, half of who are children, who are literally walled into a concentration camp and ironically calling anyone who opposes that genocide of being ‘antisemitic’ – you just couldn’t make it up. To that end they have starved Gaza of all food and water, medicine and fuel for over a year and not allowed access to aid agencies or journalists in the hopr that what they are doing won’t be recorded. In 1 year, they dropped more bombs on an area a quarter of the size of London and more densely populated than anywhere else on Earth, than all sides dropped in the whole of WW2, and they haven’t stopped, they are still bombing. They have also used illegal and experimental weapons on these civilians, sent troops in on the ground and drones to shoot them, and destroyed all sanitation to encourage the spread of disease.

By Western complicity we mean the barrage of unverified lies coming out of Israel that are put out as facts by Western news media including the BBC and that are not only not withdrawn when they were proved to be false, but instead, constantly referred to as though they were still believed, in what can only be referred to as propaganda. But also the corrupt Western governments, including the USA, UK, Germany & others who have failed to hold Israel to account for their crimes or even for the deliberate and targeted mass murder and torture of UN workers and journalists; They have wholeheartedly defended Israel politically throughout and given them the weapons and the political support that they need to carry on with their cruel murderous rampage unimpeded. At the same time they cut funding to the only UN agency working in Gaza because of more lies coming out of Israel.

The ONLY defence that the people of Gaza have is to film what is being done to them and to broadcast it to the World in the hope that enough of us are outraged sufficiently to stop it. We are outraged, but it still hasn’t stopped. We all feel helpless in this: but there is a lot you can do: Boycott Israeli goods, write to your MP, join protests, forward the news out of Gaza, support charities who help: like Medical Aid for Palestinians, join campaign groups and buy this album. There are billions of us and our voices will be heard.

This album is a testimony to the atrocities Israel unleashed on Gaza (the most densely populated place on Earth), after 7th October 2023 (& in the West Bank too). These indigenous people are literally walled in, persecuted and can’t leave without rarely granted Israeli permits. Meanwhile Israeli government ministers have publicly called for them all to be killed. This is ethnic cleansing through genocide.

Our press call this a war, and talk about ‘intense fighting’ between Hamas and Israeli forces. But Hamas don’t have a military force. Gaza has been under siege for 17 years and nothing goes in or out without Israeli consent: you can’t get chocolate into Gaza let alone weapons or ammunition. Israel has the Worlds 4th largest army and everything they ask America & the West for. While Gazan’s are unarmed, imprisoned, civilians & children under attack. The words ‘war’, ‘fighting’ & ‘conflict’ are being horribly misused to conceal a shocking & malicious genocide.

Israel dropped more bombs in Gaza in 100 days than America dropped in 20 years in Vietnam, an area 400 times larger & then they kept bombing. This destroyed almost all inhabitable dwellings, all 35 hospitals & every utility & infrastructure causing the spread of disease too. Meanwhile, in America they started selling luxury apartments Israel had already planned over the Gaza ruins, while Palestinians wrote their children’s names on their living faces so that their dead bodies could be identified if they were found.

They dropped white phosphorus from the skies to burn civilians to the bone below; They murdered more journalists than died in the whole of World War II and tortured & killed record numbers of UN workers. Israeli troops shot medics, children & starving crowds at food aid trucks; They admitted that they’d killed most of the Israeli’s who had died during the 7th October Hamas attack and one Israeli General defended his troops ‘right to rape’ on a TV interview. They deliberately starved 2.2 million people, half of whom are children and wouldn’t allow in fuel or medicine, creating a situation where any babies needing incubators died and the all too frequent limb amputations had to be done without anaesthetic, even on children. The death & injury rates in Gaza are so high medical professionals created a new acronym that only applies in Gaza: WCNSF: Wounded Child, No Surviving Family. A now commonplace phenomenon in Gaza.

Israel defied the ICJ ruling demanding they stop & retaliated the same day by persuading ‘friend nations’ to withdraw funding from the only UN agency working in Gaza – making those countries complicit in their genocide too. They lied perpetually about Hamas. None of their accusations were verified, but Western news outlets always stated them as facts, didn’t retract them when they were proved to be false & constantly misdirected reporting by saying “Yes but do you condemn Hamas” & “Our government consider Hamas to be a terrorist organisation”. And still, no matter what Israel did, or the size of protests around the World, they faced no sanctions or reprisals & continued to be given arms by Western countries to continue their genocide with.

And still, through all of this, the Palestinians showed incredible courage, love, humanity, humility, generosity, selflessness & faith in the most impossible situations & still smile, laugh & play. It seems that the best of all people are being wiped off the Earth by the most evil, in the most unforgivable & heinous way. After WWII, the whole World promised ‘Never Again’ and that makes this betrayal of that promise all the more unforgiveable now.
